Rugged Controls has expanded its line of Variable Wire Diameter (VWD) Running Line Tensiometers with the release of the RL-30-VWD. Engineered for operational flexibility, the RL-30-VWD enables tension monitoring on wire rope ranging from 1.5″ to 3″ in diameter all without the need for multiple systems or frequent hardware swaps.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) validation ensures the system achieves a 2.5:1 ultimate safety factor and delivers tension accuracy within ±1% of full scale.
