


The Research Vessel Hugh R Sharp, owned and operated by the University of Delaware Marine and Earth Studies Campus in Lewes, Delaware, is operated as a member of the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System.
The R/V SHARP has been described as the most advanced coastal research vessel in the United States.
Rugged Controls provided a complete shipset and new construction for the winch monitoring system aboard.
Interfacing to a wide variety of winch manufacturer's equipment installed on the vessel, Rugged Controls was able to provide a harmonized monitoring system.
The system included local and remote LCI-90i displays and a central PC collecting winch line parameter data at 20 hz using our WinchDAC software.
