Rugged Controls provides winch control and monitoring solutions for measuring line tension, payout and speed in single or multi-point rig mooring applications.

In a typical mooring installation, tensiometers (available from 0-500 tons) are installed on the mooring lines originating from each single or double-drum winch. Tensiometers interface to one LCI-90i Standard or Multi-winch display (the LCI-90i Multi-Winch display can view 4 winches at one time) providing local line parameter viewing and, if desired, simultaneous data transmission to remote displays or a centrally located PC computer. Alternatively, LCI displays can interface to existing instrumented sheave sensors.
Customer Installed 8 Point mooring monitoring system for newly completed Accommodation Work Barge "Stork". After seeing the Rugged Controls monitoring system installed, Hendro Budiaman the Managing Director of MSI stated “We will be in contact with Rugged Controls when when we need another vessel tensiometer upgrade.
