Designed for NPCC’s SEP-350 (Self Elevating Platform) vessel. This installation included LCI’s RL-20 running line tensiometer (line rider) and LCI-90 “Dual Winch” display system.
Adamac Pipelay Barge - Rosemunde
Rugged Controls supported Adamac, a leading Nigerian Oil & Gas Services Company based in Port Harcourt with the winch instrumentation for their pipelay barge the Rosemunde. The project called for 9 running line tensiometers, displays, and software to monitor the anchor winch lines. The 8 Rugged Controls line riders monitored the anchor winches for tension, speed, and payout, and 1 line rider monitored the A&R winch.
Noble Drilling - Drillship Mooring Monitoring
The Noble Discoverer is a turret moored drillship built in 1976. It has 8 mooring winches with 2-3/4" wire rope.
The existing mooring monitoring system needed to be upgraded with more accurate sensors, local displays for the winch operators, alarm evaluation for tension and payout issues, and PC-based data-logging for winch and operator activity.
